Oct 16, 2005 Aroma of sour apples, yeast and malts. Soapy white head that lingers. Cloudy amber color. Malty slighty bitter, but smooth taste. Too bad this one has been retired.

Pours amber with a modest head. The aroma is metallic hops; the flavor is whole-grain bread, malt and sour hops meeting in the middle, with a soft and short finish and a thin but highly-carbonated palate.
Reasonable enough to drink, and a pleasant reminder of the some of the session ales I’d drink in Scotland, though nothing exceptional.

Sep 28, 2005 Has a strange, almost yeasty aroma. Amber color, slightly cloudy. Sweet bread flavor. Finishes quickly. Easy to drink, even if it’s not very exciting.

Sep 25, 2005 Updated: Apr 10, 2006Bottle: I saw this was retired so dispite the many beers I hadn’t tried I felt the need to try this before it was gone. It was obviously an amber color and it had a decent offwhite head. I can definitly agree with the sour apples aroma and the malty/cookie/cracker taste this beer has going. It is quite good.

Sep 20, 2005 Pours a light amber with a tall foamy tan head. Taste is semi-sweet with a litte hoppyness and weak finish.

Sep 10, 2005 The site says this one is retired and that is a true shame. The aroma is sour apples and yeast. The appearance is copper-red and light brown with a medium head. The flavor is slightly cider like but it has a nice balance of sour-bitter-sweet. It is also malty and a bit nutty. Hops and toasted malt in the finish. A wonderful beer.

Sep 1, 2005 Nutty aroma with some underlying caramel sweetness. Clear brown body with low tan head that lasts well. Cookie like malty sweetness with caramel, nuttiness and light finishing bitterness. Low carbonation, smooth texture. Bottle. Entered from notes.

Aug 31, 2005 A cinnamon color, small frothy but bumpy head, smelling of apple cider. Slightly sour and sweet taste. Its ok.
