Bottle read John Courage Amber. Decide to retry this and rate as my buds had a Yuegling and a Bass. A good description would be if you mixed those other two. Pretty good though after awhile it does finish bitterly.

Medium golden color. Faint malty aroma, has that classic lager air about it. Mildly bitter, hop character comes out in the aftertaste. Drinkable but has a grainy, slightly acidic taste that is too overwhelming.

Had an applely taste that I didn’t find disgusting but I didn’t like it enough to have a full pint. I’m surprised to see this classified as an ESB.

dark golden color, decent short white head. easy sweet malty nose, honey-ish? mildly sweet start - super faint banana taste. carbonation and extra mild hop eases in. balanced, aftertaste, watery finish.

I love a good ESB, but this one was too hoppy at the end. Amber color, smooth witha bit of bitterness. Would not be my choice for an ESB.

Hops and wheat to the nose, nutty, bitter flavor, slight soapiness at the end. Not the best bitter.

Clear Amber Coloring. Slightly bitter, nutty. Scotland can do better in my opinion.

On tap. Poured with a thin, white, quick dissapearing head. Minimal to no lacing. Carbonation was low. Malty flavor, slightly nutty. A little thin. Slight hopping at the end. Run of the mill.
