Gold body with a minimal white head. Aroma is minimal, light hops with some malt backbone. Decient body, very light fruit accents. Light hop ending. MarkBarnes (266), Waterville, New York, USA

Straw-amber pour w/ large head; aroma of day-old silage. Sour banana flavor falls short of the similar concept found in Anchor Steam Liberty Ale -- with a slightly metallic taste to boot. A Speckled Hen-ish creamy mouthfeel is a bonus here. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA

This tasted a lot more complex to me than most users are reporting(maybe the tap?) Poured a orangish gold with a very fine, creamy head. Tastes of floral hops, light malt, and some wonderful fruity esters. I cannot place exactly what I was tasting, but I want to say white grapes! Found two six packs on New Year’s Eve and me and the buddies loved it. Had to track it down to find more and bought 4 cases once we found it. Absolutely love the taste and aroma of this beer. Just hope the rumors of its production demise are wrong. If you can find this, I recommend trying it. It’s especially good with a hot bowl of chili or something off the grill. Enjoy. patrick767 (2049), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2006 bottle - Pours amber with a small head. The aroma was fairly malty and not much else. The flavor was similar. There was some hops presence but to me the hops tasted kind of off. The finish is okay and pretty unremarkable, like the beer. It’s a decent session brew, but nothing I’d try to track down again.
Brewery note - it closed over a year ago and the beer is retired? Is that accurate? It doesn’t seem hard to find now. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
