jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 23, 2007 Draft at the Wayne location. Clear red amber body with thin head and light lacing. Sweet malty aroma, very pleasing and got me ready for the taste. Flavor was nice and sweet. Malty backbone and good caarbonation. Well balanced with a little kick to it. Great Amber, and I’m not a fan of Amber’s. Dogbrick (2813), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 22, 2006 Sample at the Pittsburgh location. This brew is a reddish-amber color with a thin off-white head that lingers for awhile. Thin, spotty lacing. The aroma is mostly malty with a touch of hops. Medium-bodied with a rich malty flavor throughout. Light hops and fruit show up as well. The finish is on the sweet side but has enough hops to keep the tongue interested. Pretty solid overall. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 13, 2006 Fruity, red aroma. Malty, medium bittering. Some west coast hopping. Tangy, lightly sweet, woody, ’Red’ flavored. Session weight. Clean, but not very entertaining. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2004 Amber/orange color with medium head and medium body. Good malty flavor. Smooth finish. VEry good amber. MaBeer1972 (421), Leominster, Massachusetts, USA Oct 14, 2003 On-tap at Framingham. This beer dispelled any ideas in my mind that a chain brewer can't brew a great beer. Rich and malty throughout. Nice subtle hop finish. Just wonderful!
