Dark black with medium tan head, body was a little thinner than a stout. Medium hops, toasted coffee flavor, very dry. One of the better Harvard's brews I've had. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

Dry, crisp and clean: a good beer to drink. Lacked the interesting nuances of other schwarzbiers that I've had, but otherwise one of the best out of John Harvard's.
