Yummy, yummy, yummy. A nice dark beer with outstanding flavor with a touch of carmel and coffee. I ended up with a pint cause i couldn’t get pitchers

This beer kicks ass! A deep blackish/burgundy color with a great head and tons of lacing. The taste is dark alish, almost porterish, but much smoother. The finish is creamy, sweet, and gentle. Don't get me wrong....this isn't a watered down porter, rather a solid, smooth dark ale. A must try.

Springfield, PA. Opaque black and cleary very heavily hopped. Dry, crisp and clean: a good beer to drink. Lacked the interesting nuances of other schwarzbiers that I've had, but otherwise one of the best out of John Harvard's.

This is almost a stout. I agree that this is one of Harvard’s best. Also: they called this Black Widow Lager in my local Harvard’s.

A fantastic beer! Pitch black w/ no head, and had a smokey tasty coffee flavor w/ hints of caramel. Very satisfying. One of the better John Harvards beers.

Sample at the Pittsburgh location. Deep dark brown color, almost black, with a medium tan head with good retention. Rings of lacing through the glass. Roasty malt aroma with espresso in the background. Full-bodied and smooth with a nice array of coffee, malt and chocolate flavors. The finish is thoroughly malty with a good coffee aftertaste. Well done.

Part of the sampler at the Wayne, PA location. This was a good beer. Had a nice chocolate roast flavor to it.
