ABUSEDGOAT (1924), California, USA Aug 10, 2005 tap at the brewhouse: reddish amber color, fairly hazy body. Aroma is hoppy with caramel and hints of fruit. Solid. Yogi_Beera (2404), Hamburg, Germany Mar 9, 2005 Cask, Cambridge 2005: Hazy red orange color, small head, leaving laces. Citrusy, lemon - cascade hops taste. Medium - crisp finish. ClarkVV (3547), Allston, Massachusetts, USA Aug 27, 2004 Updated: Jan 8, 20052004 Cask at Cambridge location. A very deep ruby red color, light orange specks throughout. Small, but fairly lasting cream colored head. Aroma has tons of toasty/caramelly malts. Flavor is sweet, but not too much so. It’s much better than what I usually get from a brewpub’s red ale (watery, lightly metallic, astringent, too dry). Nope, this one’s a winner. Creamy consistency, but more zip than usual off of a cask. The hops are noticeable, but only enough to add a bit of flavor, they dont kill the style. Nice and fresh. Ends sweet and creamy. Great stuff, perhaps a bit too sweet on the honey/cream flavor, if I must critique. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA May 16, 2004 Cambridge location on cask. Hazy copper color with a small off-white head.Toasted malt aroma with aa slight touch of brown suagr.Flavor is malty and roasted, mild hops character, ends sweet. Kaya161 (1129), Aspen, Colorado, USA Sep 9, 2003 Sampled at Cambridge on cask. Awseome! Light hop aroma and flavour with some light malt underneath. Smooth, fresh, and clean, yum. The non-cask version, which I also sampled is not nearly as good.
