On tap at brew house. Pours a clear light yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet fruits and malt. Flavor is rather wheaty, with a slight bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel was smooth with light body and good carbonation.

On tap at Framingham location, billed as "Gold Kölsch". Pale gold/straw, poured with thin head, soon gone but leaving residual lacing. Nicely balanced, sweat aftertaste. Main impression is "crisp". A nice light session beer.

Had this one at the brewpub in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Billed as "Colonial Gold." Clear, medium yellow pour wth a lacy white head, dry fruitiness, balanced taste, bitter finish, not bad for the style but a little out of season now.

Sampled on draft at the Monroeville PA location this beer poured a bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma was light tangy malts and a hint of floral hops. The flavor was sour, tangy malts with a nice underlying floral hop presence.

On tap at the Harvard location billed as the Colonial Gold. Pours a lightly hazy golden with an average bubbly white head that left some spotty lacing. Aroma of grainy sweet malts and some lemon. Flavor of cereal grains, pretzels, grassy with hints of lemon and other citrus. Crisp and refreshing.
