Dark brown with ruby highlights and a large white head.Flavor of roasted malt and pretzels.Sweeter than most dry stouts. There's almost an oatmeal stout character there.Creamy, silky on the palate.

This was sent to my table on the house by the manager which was a nice surprise. Since I was already in the midst of a pint of Nutbrown ale I had to let this sit and wait for awhile. And sat it did, deep mahogany with a creamy thick head. The head on this beer didn't even budge the entire time it sat through the time I finished it. Aroma was a mild one of roasted malt and a bit of espresso. Body was on the thin side, much to my dissapointment and flavor was a bit weak as well. Quite a dry stout and reminding me of Guinness. A lighter stout that you could drink a few of and not get too full of.

Tap at Cambridge location. Opaque black, silky lace that clings, sodalike bubbles on the side of the glass. VERY thin mouthfeel, perhaps the worst I've ever had in a stout. Weak chocolate coffee, but the thinness absolutely destroys the beer for me. WOAH - I just took a big swallow of it and almost rejected it. No more for Chad.

A litte smoky with bitter coffee, roasted malts, and some hops. Dark brown-black with creamy cocoa lacing head. Watery and almost flat. Burnt bitter coffee and roasted malt taste - almost sour. Bitter finish and after with hints of chocolate. Ok stout, but a bit to sour.

At the Union Station Brewing/John Harvards in Providence, RI. Forever-lasting head atop a dark but not quite coal-black body; godd dry caramel-espresso nose and flavor; medium-thick mouthfeel. Best of the five I had here by far, though its not worth the trip just for this. Stick with Trinity when in Providence.

Framingham, MA - Has a very dark brown color and had a roasted smell. Taste was smooth roasted malts/coffee and finished very smooth with little bitterness. When the beer got warmer a nutty flavor came though also. Overall it was pretty good for a stout, but it did not have any real bite in terms of alcohol value.

Nice coffee flavor, slightly bitter, not too much body but very good.

Not much to speak about as far as flavor or finish goes. In fact, it looked like a Guinness draught, but tasted somewhat like water with the essence of nuttiness. Not good.
