Commercial Description:
John Labatt Classic was introduced in 1983 as Canada’s only national domestic “premium beer”. It is Krausen-brewed (slow, low temperature with a secondary fermentation process) and has a longer cold-aging process. Classic uses all-malt and a unique blend of western-grown North American hops, providing a smooth, full flavour product with a true malt taste that is slightly sweet. Editor's Note: Is this only available in the US?

Not bad, yellow, good long-lasting head. Decent aroma, faint decent palate. Mild hoppy finish. Weird taste in palate we couldn’t discern.

2004 bottle. Wow. Really excited for this one. . . but it’s all my friend had, so I figured I’d give it a whirl. Weak light gold, yellow color, very bubbly and clear with a light white head. Aroma of water, light grains. Flavor starts out with maybe what could be called a brief, crisp bite of hops, but then it quickly runs in to a heavy dose of sour tasting adjunct flavor. Muddled, cardboard and wet wool finish, tons of water and too much carbonation, almost stinging from the amount of artificial C02 in here.

Pale golden colour, thich white head. Pale malt aroma.. Flavour of pale malt, no hops. Standard pale lager... neither good nor bad.

Wasn’t too pleased with this one, despite low expectations. Pours a clear golden color with small clusters of bubbles. Medium white head that did not last, and very thin lacing. Light aroma of hops and fruit. Light-bodied and bubbly with weak hops, malt and sour fruit flavors. The finish is lightly bitter with lingering fruit again. Not a big fan of this one.

"Pretty much a Labatt Blue?" Please. Light golden; white, rocky head. Aroma unimpressive: Just a touch of sweet malts. Flavor is markedly better than Blue, with a fair amount of malt and at least detectable hops. Very thin. Decent for a "pale lager."

This was pretty much a labatt blue but I did notice it had some more flavor to it, which I liked, I would get it again.

Pretty decent beer. A little heavier than the ypical Blue and more taste. A little more on the malt and hops side than Blue. If you can find it and you like Blue, then give this a whirl.

A decent beer from Labatts. A nice upgradew from the regular Blue as this one has a nicer malty taste to it with an added sweetness.
