I enjoyed this one while hanging out with Philadelphia Flyers legends Bernie Parent and Joe Watson, at Joe Watson’s home. Dark mahogany color, roasted malt aroma and a tan creamy head. Taste is smooth malt with a creamy texture. Went well with the Halibut and Salmon Cakes prepared by Joe and his fiancee Jamie, from fish caught by Joe Watson himself in British Columbia, and shipped back to the US.

Virtually no aroma, though a rich color, had a light rtaste of cherry without the sweetness. Somewhat lacking on the aftertaste, finished cleanly.

surprised by this one, not the heaviness that i associate with labatt, a decent red that I expected to be more irish, but not complaining

12-oz.; thanks, Headbanger! Pours a crystal clear dark rubied amber with a thing, wispy, short-lived grayish filmy head. Slightly sour, brown-bread-y nose. Watery, slightly fizzy body. Brown bread, hint of molasses, bit of metallic sour on the mid-palate. Mild crackery finish.

(bottle - 340 ml) Clear amber color with a very thin layer of white foam. Aroma is sweet with a good amount of toasted malts. Some light nuts near the end. Flavor is lightly sweet at the beginning with some of the lightly toasted malts. The middle has some hints of toffee and nuts with a lightly sweet and cloying finish. Some bitterness and hops are present in the aftertaste.

Bottle.A clear deep amber color pour with a thin white head that faded to almost nothing.Smell: Aroma is mostly sweet toasted caramel and nutty toffee malt notes . The flavor is rather simple, thin and light. It is similar to the aroma with a sweet cereal grain and light caramel malt, the hop flavor is light and grassy It adds a good bit of bitterness, and maybe spice too as well as some metallic notes to the finish. The body is light, mouthfeel is pretty thin with a sort of light fizzy carbonation. Not a bad amber but nothing very memorable.

Pours deep caramel color with a cream colored head. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Similar flavor, but not much of it. Having tried 3 of the 4 beers in this mix pack I wonder why these macro brewers brew more than the regular pale lagers that make them money, no one in their right mind would be a repeat buyer of this stuff.
