Feb 15, 2006 From a distinctive shaped Sleeman bottle with no freshness date. Made a promising appearance, poured a semi-opaque red hued dark chocolate brown with a nice sized creamy pale tan head that reduced to a thin clingy bubbly lacing. Had faint, clean aromas, roasted chocolate maltiness, a little vanilla and fruity hoppiness. Medium carbonation and a slick light medium bodied mouth feel, not that drinkable. Had a watery roasted malty taste, a metallic bitterness and a dry thin roasted malty finish with a unpleasant metallic aftertaste.

Feb 12, 2006 From the Sleeman winter variety pack. Poured an average dark tan head. Light aroma of roasted malts. Some sweet flavoring with a slight bitterness at the end. Still it was refreshing for a porter. Was alittle more watery than most porters.

Feb 12, 2006 Dark reddish brown, with an off-white head. Some chocolate in the aroma. Roasted malt in palate. Not a big-tasting porter but I enjoyed it.

Jan 7, 2006 Dark brown in colour with not much in the way of a head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Lively carbonation. Tastes of roasted malt and some caramel, bitter hop finish. Average but strangly drinkable.

Jan 4, 2006 strong carbonation. Lagerish body with porter flavour, welcome but of bitterness. Not thin but on weak flavour for style. Quaffable. Blackish with some head, mollasses aroma.
