For some reason I picked up hints of vegatable in the initial flavor. Also light hops and mild bitter malts. Nothing special at all. ChrisThomson (405), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 6, 2007 Nice Sleeman release. I tried this one on tour at the Brewery in 2005. Nice golden colour and great hop character. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 1, 2007 12 oz bottle. Golden in color. Aroma is light floral hops and malts. Taste is moderately malty with a light floral hop presence, light lasting bitterness in the finish. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | Apr 30, 2007 11.5 oz. bottle: I am going to start positive here and say this bottle rocks! Very sexy curves, brown glass that is embossed with Sleeman’s name and logo. Very cool. Unfortunately everything goes downhill from there... Pours apple juice yellow-amber with no head. The nose is apple juice too - cidery and sugary. A mild piney hop presence lingers behind the fruit juice. Honestly, this tastes like underattenuated extract homebrew that was fermented a bit too hot and with a lot of white sugar. Ugh. More apple esthers are combined with a stale caramel powdered maltiness. Finishes rindy, but not very bitter. Let’s hope this was a bad bottle/batch. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 29, 2007 11.5 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange color. Head was white and two fingers high with decent retention and lacing. Smelled of light malty molasses and some fruity hops. Dry on the tongue without much hop bitterness to speak of. Grainy with minimal malty caramel and subdued sprucy hops. Eh. daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Golden amber with little head, no lace. Aroma of fine hops and malt with sweet notes. Strong hops well balanced with barley malt. Bitter at first with sweet aftertaste. Rich mouthfeel and biting sweet meets sour as a whole. Tastes like reall IPA, unlike fraudulent mass marketed Alexander Keiths. Very good brew, make no mistake. hughie (3079), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Amber with a small head. Sweet aroma, perhaps a little yeasty. Not much flavour beyond a rather tame, easy-drinking maltiness. Not much bitterness. Bland and ordinary. shrubber85 (2995), Wallhalben, Germany
