Pours straw with an average head. Aroma is metallic, corny hops. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy, and not terrible, but nothing outstanding.

Hard pour yields white moonscape foam atop a bizarre marigold liquid with floaties and almost no carbonation. Impressive lace hangs like paintball splatters inside the glass. Smells like nail polish and roasted corn, new tires, violets, and bubblegum. Some urine aromatics. Sweaty jockstrap. Sweet husky taste, corncob and spray paint finish. Remotely bitter. Light, oily mouthfeel. Tarry and cidery aftertaste is much stronger than any other aspect of this beer. Tastes like a very, very cheap BMC, fermented hot. This is disgusting. I would drink a homeless person’s vomit to get the taste of this "beer" out of my mouth.

Bottle. Poured a deep amber with an average rocky white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium sweet hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Moderate hoppy bitter flavor with an average finish of medium duration.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is dry and quite malty and the flavour is dry and quite floral with a whisky like finish. Overall quite a palatable drink.

Very disappointing, hazy dark golden color, minimal off-white head, very little lacing, very little in the nose, only a small hint of hops & pine, very light in the flavors as well, extremely thin body, watery, very little hops in the body of flavors, most of the hops come through only in the finish & aftertaste, very unbalanced, tasted like semi-hopped carbonated sparkling water, skunky hopped finish, not a very good IPA at all

Rating for Sleeman IPA 46

Pours a frost-hazed amber with faint carbonation and a slow, cream-colored head. Mild herbs in the nose with a floral soapiness, light acetone and dry, stale malts. An estery lemon flavor precedes tea & toasty bread. Creamy mouthfeel with a sugary grit before a mild, hoppy finish. I warmed up to this as I realized it wasn’t an "American-style" IPA.

Bottle. Golden colored-a little darker than their Cream Ale-with a fluffy but short lived white head. Does leave a little lace. Flowery hop nose with no discernable malt aroma and a little sourness. Fairly thin, well carbonated and moderately bitter without as much hop flavor as I had hoped. More perfumey and flowery than fruity or citric. No, not as hoppy as an American IPA-nor as hoppy as many APA’s. Nor was I expecting it to be. Would be refreshing very cold in the summer, which is not really how I want an IPA to be. O.K. beer, but I’ll stick to their lagers for cold easy drinking refreshment.

12 oz bottle IPA 46*. IPA....hardly, maybe I am just too spoiled living in the Pacific NW. Pours a dark amber with a huge frothy head and extremely carbonated. Sour metallic nose with little to no hop aroma. Taste is similiar, strange acidic and metallic flavors that go on for a long time even on the back end. Maybe a good beer to have on a hot summer day and there is nothing else available.
