I could detect no aroma which was disappointing for an IPA. Hops come in up front then there is a malty finish. Light for an IPA. OldMrCrow (1202), Seattle, Washington, USA

What a name. "Sleeman presents..." This is the beer equivalent of that old concert standby "An evening with..." --- in other words, a surefire guarantee extreme suckage.
Extreme suckage might be a bit strong, actually. This is a perfectly good, for a bad Canadian pale ale.
Pours clear gold with a small head; the nose is grass and grain. The flavor is more or less as expected, mild by PacNW standards, grainy by British IPA standards. This really doesn’t showcase the hops for anything, though it is hoppier than most Ontario ales that I’ve had. I could get this one down at a conference, but I see little reason to drink it on purpose at home. rederic (1815), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2006 The beer is coming in a clear bottle, bright amber color, with a big frothy beige head, with caramel malt and toffee notes, and a subtle floral note on the nose, follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a sweet crystal malt flavor, good floral hops notes, herbal and piney accents, leading towards a faintly sweet touch and hops bittering finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 2, 2006 Mild aroma, almost imperceptible. Poured a lovely copper colour with half-inch white head. Very visible carbonation. Leaves the mouth feeling a little dry, but a familiar aftertaste ensues. Taste is slightly bitter, but with sweet notes on first tasting. Not bad at all. freekyp (903), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2006 Sleeman IPA pours a light amber with an ample, but quickly dissipating, white head. Certainly not as hoppy as your average IPA, Sleeman nonetheless sports a nice spicy hop aroma and flavor profile. Call it a session IPA and you come close to describing this somewhat light version of the style. Clean and crisp, this makes a wonderful BBQ beer. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 29, 2006 Light amber, small white head. Lightlyly malty beery nose.Somewhat antiseptic light hop profile.Medium length, late arriving hop finish.
Not good, but certainly the best effort from this poor brewery. TipsyMcStager (943), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

God himself would weep in despair as the putrid piss-juice’s corrosive foulness forever scarred His divine tongue. The depth of its depravity travels like a wave across the earth as it destroys all that is pure and good. What can mortal men do against such blatant evil? Evil that could make the four horseman turn tail and run back to Hades. Evil that could turn angels to dust and turn light into darkness. Save me...won’t someone save me.... This seems more like an APA to me. Mildly bitter hopping and a nice malt caramel base, in the right proportions. I’d have a few of these, and certainly better by far than the standard macro.
