Aroma of a meadow, plus some hops. Thin taste, low on hops, with a slightly metallic aftertaste. Not a very good representation of an IPA. This will be my last Sleeman’s. Disappointing. hopdog (5611), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 26, 2008 11.5 oz bottle (IPA 46). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of grass, caramel, and some citrus. Non-existent tastes, but if I reach really deep, caramel and some hops. Thinner body. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Pours a light amber color with a small white head. Aroma is grassy, malty and metalic. Flavor is a bit off too, not hoppy enough to be an APA much less an IPA. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Bottle: Pours a golden copper color with a nice white head and tons of lacing. The nose is buttery and metallic with some light twang and something that might resemble caramel. To say hops would just be a lie. The flavor is dry and fruity, light bitterness and some vague honey and sour peach notes. Not a good product. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2008 pours mid amber with decent head. aroma is mostly malty with some citrus notes. flavor is mildly hoppy, lemony. tastes like a nice british ipa, easy drinking. beer4me (8), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2008 I liked this beer. No, it is not as wildly hopped as modern day North American IPA’s but I am guessing this is probably closer to the original style of the IPA’s shipped to India from England. Having said that, I would have enjoyed it more if it was a little more hoppy. Still nice though. berkshirejohn (1831), Bracknell, Berkshire, England
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 24, 2008 11.5 fl oz bottle from Plonkers, Derby. Pours gold with a thick and loose cream head; aroma of dries hops and nettles; very malt and sweet to start, with an insistent hoopy bitterness building but not quite managing to get there; leaving a rather damp cardboard finish. Being generous I’d say that this hasn’t traveleld well, but I suspect that it wasn’t that good when it started out. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 22, 2008 First off...what a stupid name for a beer - aside from that, here’s the rating:
Light golden coloured body with a thinnish white head and a few bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of stale hops, light malt and a bit of fake sugars - nothing too great. Medium-bodied; Light hoppy assertiveness with some yeast flavours. Aftertaste shows the fake sugars and a funky cardboard taste. Overall, a pretty bad beer - not really worth trying, but good to sample in the good old USA! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Bacchus Bar in New Paltz, New York on 21-June-2008.
