Big hoppy aroma with a slight bitter aftertaste. Not what I expected from a North American IPA. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Nifty unique brown bottle. Looks like an IPA, go figure. Thin creamy head. Very mild aroma of some hops. First taste impact is IPA - ish. However, it lacks that intense bitter everlast. Grows slightly milder with each sip, but never inoffensive. Probably should be classified as an IPA. I’ve tasted other IPA that were less intense and it does have quite a hop presence. This of course is the opinion of a lager lover. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2007 This isn’t a bad APA. I’m curious why it is called an IPA. At first sip you can make the distinction. Aroma of grassy hops but it is verey faint. Pour was a nice burnt orange with a thin ring for a head. Taste was metallic with undertones of hops and a bit of malt. As an APA, this is strongly hoppy. It’s just hard to get past that metal. prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 22, 2007 Like drinking slightly rusty carbonated water. There’s a decent aroma of light hops and some fruit, but the metallic taste really ruins this one. Decent head and some minimal lacing. Not a good APA, PA, IPA, or anything else.
