Nitro-keg. Smooth, cold and creamy - but then so’s a pint of milk. Dull appearance, bitter taste, no aroma.

Can of Orignial Bitter. Pours one of the beautiful ambers I have every seen, but that is the only good thing I can say about this beer. Aroma has a mild toasted malt with some hop presence. Unfortunatley, the aftertaste is dominated by a metallic taste, so it is hard for me to give a better discription of the overall flavor. Very light mouthfeel. I was pretty dissapointed in this bitter.

Can - sampled on a Thames river tour in London. My first beer on a long trip, I was severely jet lagged and this made me feel a little better on a rainy day. Decent bitter, but nothing really special. At least UK mass-produced beers aren’t of the coors lite variety.

Foams like a mad wizard’s potion. Metal, metal and the merest sniff of soapy fruit. Extortionately expensive tall green cylinder sampled reluctantly (out of Guinness glass) on the island of Corfu. Bitter-lite designed to get old men painlessly pissed. (Re-rate) Fluff and cabbage water. A trace of nutty malt, but mostly cardboard. Absolute bilge. Couldn’t finish it.

Enjoyed a short stint of popularity here in Canada. You don’t see it much anymore in the pubs and bars, but you can still get it in the can. A nice, smooth bitter with little aftertaste.
