Mild sweet fruity taste with some bitterness lingering to a bitter sour aftertaste. Extremly drinkable but not really complex. hoping to try some better and more complex v versions of this style. EHSRanders (1122), Randers C, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Tap. This beer is a chestnut brown colour with a dense, sizely and lasting white head. It’s quite sparse when it comes to aromas; the ocassional nut and caramel notes typical of this sort of bitter. The flavours are also mild and subdued with a dusty caramel sweetness and a nutty hop component. A smooth mouthfeel and dusty palate texture with a dry bitterness round off the sip. All in all, this bitter is a touch bland but a good session beer and it beats most pale lagers available in establishments offering nothing tastier. MBison (548), Southern Highlands, Australia

Poured burnt bronze with a large, creamy, off-white head which was fully lasting. Light notes of earthy hops with caramel malts, apricots and light notes of buttery marmalade. Flavor was a mild earthy hop bitterness with caramel malts, biscuits, nectarines and a dry finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, watery texture and a relatively short finish. albertane (376), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England

This is bland and unremarkable ; however, it’s preferable to Worthington Creamflow and it’s certainly better than mass-produced lagers when nothing better is available.
