tarjei (1154), Bryne, Norway Jul 2, 2008 50 cl can at the ferry from Stavanger to Newcastle. Brown color, lovely creamy head. Aroma is malt (hints of roasted) and fruit. Flavor is malty and fruity, no bitterness. No carbonation.
EFC1878 (56), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Aug 27, 2008 Used to be available on cask but now seems to be purely nitrokeg. Either way, it’s no great loss to the Real Ale community. I’d love to be able to contribute meaningful comments as to this beer’s aroma, ’flavor’ and palate but there’s no point. Brown water with no character whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. Stefano (974), Esbjerg, Denmark Aug 20, 2008 Amber colour with a creamy off white head. Aroma of weak malt with weak caramellish hints. Sweetish flavour with some grassyness. Medium bitter palate. Light to medium bodied.
Skinnyviking (2624), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 17, 2008 Can. High creamy off-white and lasting head. Clear dark brown body. Mild nutty caramel aroma. Watery nutty caramel flavor with some bitterness. Low carbonation. Short bitter aftertaste. mybestfriend (250), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 12, 2008 Draught. A pale amber colour with a creamy, thin and white head. The aroma has some malty caramel and...well really nothing more. Thin. The flavour has some tart notes - no carbonation whatsoever - a hint of bitterness with a very thin taste. Watery and boring. Borresteijn (509), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 12, 2008 On tap on Malta. Clear amber colour, creamy head. Aroma of nitrogen, some malts, little caramel, water. Flavour is much the same, with a touch of bitterness. Smoothness and creamy texture make up for the lack of flavours. Nice.
