Dec 11, 2004 Dark beer with a reddish tinge, a lightly malty aroma and a fruity and slightly bitter flavour which is harsh on the palate. Overall a plain beer that has a quite harsh finish.

Sep 1, 2003 Cask Conditioned at The Golden Lion, York. Light amber colour with thick head. Poor quality thin boiled malt flavour. Sweet and tacky.

Feb 16, 2003 (Cask). A beer in the Northeastern English style, I believe. Dark brown, low head, good lacing. Malty aroma. Rather sweet, smooth, low bitterness.
