Bottle. Pours hazy straw with a tiny white collar. Nose mostly citrus with some spice and wheat. Taste is orange with hints of wheat. Perfect amount of carbonation continues throughout. Medium body. Finish is a little floral. Respectable Wit.

A very mild rendition that ends up more cloying than refreshing. Would prefer it to be sharper and with better attenuated flavors. Things are kind of muddled in there. Some orange, some coriander, some hay notes, some grass, some dust.

I’ve been wanting a weizen glass or two and recently purchased a couple Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat "ITS4U" glasses at River’s Bend. The first glass was inaugurated by Magic Hat Circus Boy. This will be the inaugural tasting for the other glass...

4/07/2007: John’s Generations White Ale is a hazy, pale yellow color. It has a small, foamy white crown and a hefty amount of vigorous carbonation. The aroma has some citrus (orange/lemon) and corriander in it. The flavor is lemon zest with a healthy dose of corriander spice. There is a light floral hop bitterness. The finish has an interesting metallic/sour tanginess at the very end, but it doesn’t linger too long. The mouthfeel is lively and the body is medium-light. Overall this isn’t bad, but it’s a pretty typical American-made Belgian White... 12 oz bottle from OhioGuzzler. Thank you to Nathan for bringing a bottle of this back for me from Iowa. I really appreciate it. Now I have finally had a beer from Iowa!

Liter hinged bottle with a 12 oz. label. Freind in Michigan gave to me. Poured hazy yellow with a medium frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sour citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.

Bottle courtesy Sledge Jr. Poured a cloudy golden type color. The aroma was right on for a wit, coriander, wheaty, light touch of citrus. The flavor was comparable although there was a touch of soapy/floral notes also present. Overall, a nice example of the style and a decent second to last beer of the day of multiple new states on the resume. Thanks, Todd, for saving me a trip into rural Western Iowa for this one!

Pours a hazy yellow with a smallish head. The smell was spice and lemons. The taste was a little less than I had expected. A decent wheat but not one that I am going to buy again.

Fairly spicy nose...yeast, coriander, citrus, lemon peel. The creamy texture has a nice touch of carbonation to keep things lively. The flavors are a yeasty spiciness, lemon zest, coriander, and wheat. This is very well made and will look forward to more of these on a hot summer day.

Poured very light cloudy amber with just a light ring of head. Strong spices up front with a lingering malty yeasty flavor. I felt this beer ended a little to sharp for my taste, but all in all a fair Witbier.
