bottle-lightly cloudy orange with a fluffy white topping. big orange on the aroma-not much in the lines of spices. I think my bottles were a bit on the old side. lots of chunks, not really normal for a belgian wit. flavors are orange rinds, fluffy puffed wheat and some nice lemon notes. body is a little on the flimsy side. i think this would be fantastic on tap. nonetheless, a pretty good belgian wit, but there are much better out there.

Pours a pale hazy yellow with some yeast floating around. Small head that quickly disappears. Smell is crisp lemon and spicy - very pleasing. Taste is equally crisp. Lots and lots of spice, mostly coriander, maybe some clove in there as well. Lingering spicy finish with a bit of sourness. Highly enjoyable Wit that I will get again.

12oz. bottle, notched on the "D," whatever that means, purchased at none other than Dirty John’s. Pours a clear golden with small, white head. Aroma of orange peel, spicy coriander, cloves and wheat. Taste follows the aroma pretty well. I think this may have been my first witbier, so I may tout it more than some. Good brew.

Pale yellow, bright and clear, minimal head. Crazy aroma, lots and lots of spice! Coriander, peppercorns, thyme, clove and coriander. Yes I said coriander! Cleaner than expected flavor, light coriander up front with a clean finish and just a touch of finishing hop. Weird lingering pepperiness, probably a tingling from all the spice.

This was a pretty good, smooth drinkable brew. Small more like a lager, and left something for the after taste, but would be great in summer. Poured a very pale yellow, with a quick fading head.

A white beer while watching the White Sox in Game 4 of the WORLD SERIES! 750 ml swingtop bottle from the brewery. Labels still say it’s from the closed Stone City Brewing. I may have held on to this too long again, because it is a little sour. Still, that can work for this style. Lightly cloudy straw body with a rocky, lacy head. Smell is bright and beery, with a hint of lemon, spice and hops. Sourness, as I’ve noted, probably intended (I’ve kept it in the fridge, but it was warm at the brewery). Taste includes those lemons, a bit of coriander as expected. The wheat in this example is really apparent in softening the palate. Definitely a nice summertime brew with some kölsch properties. Thick layer of yeast on the bottom of this hefty bottle. Well, I started typing this review in the middle of the 8th inning, but now I offer it as a toast to the

12oz bottle via trade with heemer77 - Thanks Eric! - Pours golden slightly cloudy with a fair white head that fades fairly quick. Aroma is of yeast, orange peel and spice. Flavor is wheat, yeast, clove, orange peel, spice. Very nice. Palate is light and refreshing. Crisp and very clean on the palate. This is a nice Wit. If I lived in Iowa I’d drink this one all summer long!
