Pours a rich golden with a huge but thin foamy white head. Big aroma of green apples and spice. Very lively carbonation, super fluffy and airy. Light bodied, mostly just carbonation. Light flavors, some wheat malt with mild spicing. Very delicate brew. Light coriander, tart green apples, nutmeg, hint of lemon. 7.3.7.4.14 [rerate 4.11.09] This has taken on a more sour quality and is decisively more yeasty, tart green apple. A truly fantastic and interesting Belgian White that is quite Belgian.

Pours a milky honey with a tall white head that offers up a nice lacing as it goes. Aroma of orange, yeast, coriander, and a little pepper, lemon, wheat, banana and yeast starter. Flavor is lots of raw yeast, and orange at first then comes the wheat, definite banana oil, lots of coriander, a little clove, bubble gum and some sweet barley malt. Finishes suprisingly clean considering the high yeast content, a little fresh orange, yeasty white bread and some spice. Very refreshing, though a little sticky. One of my favorite witbiers, maybe my favorite. Not really the best style, but this is the way I like ’em.

Pours a hazy straw with a nice full white head. Lots of coriander and yeast with some orange in the aroma. There is more orange on the palate and is sweeter than what I expected and is pretty carbonated. This was a lot better than I expected.

12 oz bottle from John’s Grocery. Aroma: Wheat smell, lemony, fruity, citrus notes, touch of banana, sweet. Appearance: Very light see through gold and orange. Small, white, bubbly head that went away quickly. Slightly hazy. Flavor: Light wheat, grassy, crisp, sweet malt, fruity, banana. Palate: Sweet finish, crisp and light. Nice carbonation and not too long of a sweet aftertaste. Overall: Easy and light, good for a summer’s day, refreshing. Not bad, just not my style.

No head to speak of; fully hazy yellow beer. Overwhelming coriandersoup nose, and salty cookies. Sweetish-coriander soup or lemonade, seen the serving temperature. Almdudler or such horror, way too perfumey. Sticky, not refreshing enough. Ugh. Excellent example how a wit ought not to be conceived.

22oz bottle. Pale straw color with a small white head. Heavy yeast aromatics, clove citrus and bubblegum. Smooth candied fruit flavors up front. Earthy wheaten character with a bracing of spiciness. Tinge of sweetness in the finish, with a lingering yeastiness. Mouthfeel is light, somewhat dry.

12 oz bottle courtesy of pepsican. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a medium white head that has good retention. The aroma is loaded with Belgian yeasts, ripe banana, oranges and something floral. The flavor was distinctly spicy with coriander and cloves set in a citrusy backdrop. The mouthfeel was full and malty but the carbonation was uneven. The finish was long and dry with lingering spices. Overall: I liked this, it would make a great summertime beer.

Yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of standard witbier fare… orange, coriander, orange peel. Taste is more of the same with some added sweet malts and medium dry finish.
