JorisPPattyn (4691), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 10, 2008 No head to speak of; fully hazy yellow beer. Overwhelming coriandersoup nose, and salty cookies. Sweetish-coriander soup or lemonade, seen the serving temperature. Almdudler or such horror, way too perfumey. Sticky, not refreshing enough. Ugh. Excellent example how a wit ought not to be conceived.
sersdf (920), chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 30, 2008 had this a couple nights ago from the bottle. wasn’t too bad, reasonably banana orange, light and sweet. appropriate. brentfeesh (1000), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Oct 27, 2008 12oz bottle thanks to pepsican – Perfect 10 trade. Hazy onion skin yellow. The usual banana and clove aroma with a bit of mustiness. Well balanced flavor. Banana and clove are light and the spiciness is more forward than usual but not overwhelming. A bit of a metallic finish. Medium body. ChronoSquall14 (6), Waterloo, Iowa, USA does not count Oct 24, 2008 Out of the bottle. Very soft golden-yellow color, taste bears not only citrus but a hint of smooth banana as well. A clean, pleasing experience that anyone should be able to enjoy for a lighter flavor. FunkyBrewster (241), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 8, 2008 Thanks to 17thFloor! Pours a light golden yellow-orange color that is moderately cloudy with a thick pillowy white head. Aroma is very fruity with some coriander and orange peel and some lemon zest. There is a nice bit spice though that keeps it from being too overwhelmingly sweet. Flavor starts out with some orange peel sweetness that is pleasantly like real oranges. Bitterness comes in mid swallow and leaves some spiciness in the finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Nice white ale that doesn’t ever get too sweet for its own good. jebert (66), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a hazy gold capped by a small white head, mostly dissapating. Aroma is spice and citrus. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Taste is citrus, wheat and spices with a slightly hoppy finish. Overall , a decent beer but not in top tier in this category.
