Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Bottle. Slight hazy golden coloured with a big froathy white head. Aromas of perfume, spicy pepper, grain and yeast. Flavour is weak and disappointing with notes of dust, grain and yeast.

Pours brown-orange with a soft, frothy head. Aroma is fun of light citrus and delicate yeasts... very grassy. The flavor has a nice tartness to it... really nice saison. I think I need to try all of Jolly Pumpkin’s beers.

brett overload! fruity saison aroma, full of yeast. color is wonderful clouded gold. VERY funky! well carbonated wtih small lingering head. nice damp flavor and mouthfeel, background of woodsy fruit. very dry, excellent interpretation -- or definition -- of a saison. this is so funky, both the aroma and flavor is beginning to remind me of BO, yet somehow its hugely enjoyable. also one of the dryest beers ever, with a finish almost causing me to pucker. stronger ABV could have knocked this out of the park, still its a success in my book.

Yellow with a medium white head, somewhat cloudy. Aroma of earthy hops, grains, yeast, spice and toasted malt. Taste of earthy hops, lemon, citrus, yeast and mild hops. Finishes semi-dry, decent beer.

Opaque golden-hay with a thick white head, lacing all over the glass. Nose of lemon, orange, flowers, pepper, and hay. Flavors are more sour, orange, pepper, aittle sulfur, and strong bitterness.Long-lasting spicy yeast. Palate is dry and foamy. Nice saison, though a little bitter for my taste, like Oude Beersel or Saison Dupont. A saison/sour combo that grows more sour and unfortunately watery with warmth. Still, it’s complex, refreshing, drinkable, and enjoyable. Yum!

Bottle. Cloudy yellowish orange with a massive, billowing thick head. Strong lacing. Very unusual yeasty lemons flavors and nose. I can tell this beer’s really well made, it’s wonderfully smooth and full of unique flavors, and I’m pretty sure it tastes exactly like what the brewer wanted it to taste like. Unfortunately, I don’t much like this flavor. There are some of those funky farmhouse, barnyard flavors that I typically like, but something about this just rubs me a little bit the wrong way. Eh, maybe it’s just this time....interesting enough that I may try it again.
