Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Pours a slightly haxy pale yellow color. Good stream of bubbles through center of large Duvel type glass. Nice sour aroma, somewhat grassy, vinegar and grapes. Some lemon tartness up front followed by a low soft bitter. Soft grapes, leather and grass on the tongue. Finish is dry and grassy. Not my favorite... maybe it needs to age a bit?

Bottle from PP bottle store from a goldtwins recomendation....and a good recomendation indeed. Pours yellow/clear with a long lasting white head. Sour, yeast, fruit, spice, all balanced and refreshing!

12 oz. bottle pours with never-ending frothy head that condenses almost into whipped cream consistency. The aroma is decidedly fresh cut grass and hay with some earthy notes. Flavor is just a bit sour, adding character and depth to a solid farmhouse ale. The palate is light and bubbly as expected. Overall, very well executed.

12 oz bottle. Poured hazy gold in color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is very earthy with hints of citrus and spice. Taste is yeasty with mild citrus, spices, grass, and earthy. Not as tart as I was hoping for. This bottle was fresh and I’d like to rerate after I try an older bottle.

750 ml bottle I’m guessing via trade and because of its location in my cellar and the fact that I forgot I had this and almost bought a bottle the other night and they were sold out so I’m glad that I didn’t buy it. So how about that for some stream of conciousnes rating. Shared with my girlfriend Cyn. Gusher alert, this thing gushed and I poured it and it gushed some more holy gushers batman. Pours orangish yellow with a 3 finger fuzzy mountain head. Nose is very yeasty. Taste is sweet, very very lightly spiced. Also its pretty mellow and decent. Not the best by any means from JP, but good.

Bottle. Pours...no explodes, I mean it, be careful this one jumped out of the bottle. A massive off-white head with a cloudy golden color. The aroma is spices, citrus and some funk. The taste is similar; some light funk, citrus and a bunch of spices.

Clear bright gold with an extremely fine, rocky bright white head that sits and stays throughout the pint leaving nice lacing. Incredibly complex nose of sour citrus and peppery, clovey spiciness. Malt lurks underneath providing crackery support. Amazing nose. Razor sharp sourness leads the palate, slicing through crisp maltiness. The spicy yeast notes run rampant, but perhaps outweigh the malt leading to a bit of an imbalance, but this is still really, really good. Microscopic carbonation washes everything away a bit quickly, but makes this beer an outstanding companion to spicier foods. The palate may not quite live up to the nose, but I can’t think of many beers that could.
