Commercial Description:
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden color with a large white head and a few dark particles floating throughout. The aroma was a pleasant mix of tangy, citrusy and yeasty elements with hint of of pear and apricot. The flavor was bitter, tart and a bit musty with a long tart finish.

12 oz bottle no freshness date.

Upon opening foam started cascading out of the bottle. Poured into a chalice in order to contain the massive head. Hazy golden, thick head, sticky lace.

Aroma is lightly fruity, perfumey, funky earth.

Flavor is sweet, earthy, spicy, lemony.

Finish is long and off dry.

hazy dark yellow, huge fine white head, touch of lace, lots of carbonation but still a bit creamy, funky spice aroma with nice lemon tartness, sour and tart flavor, lot of lemon character, plenty of farmhouse funk, light spice, oaky finish, underlying malty sweetness tries to break through

slow rising foam in the bottle that sneaks out the top, even a gentle pour produces a huge foamy head, lots of lace, tart woody aroma, nice creamy funk flavor,

opaque yellow, lots of spotty lace, aroma full of musky funk, dry tart flavor with a spicy lemony character, lots of oak, musky and moldy and full of funk as it should be, almost a hint of sweetness in the background gives it body rather than balance, the creamy oak character make this beer very drinkable

12 oz bottle-Had just picked this beer up when I read the forum about it-kind of made me a little hessitant @ it-but I found it to be an enjoyable change of pace brew. Poured a light straw color w/a HUGE white, foamy, rocky head. Lemongrass aroma. Reminded me somewhat of a Wheat or Hefe but much more sour, flavors of lemongrass, spice, and a little soapy, but not in a bad way. I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but for an after dinner drink or nitecap I would recommend it.

It may just be me, the style or a bad bottle. It smelled and tasted sour like watered down vinegar. Ist it supposed to be that way? I had a hard time tasting anything but the acidic tartness. It has high ratings and so that confuses me more.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy straw color, which a four finger head that dissipates to a lasting one finger height. Aroma was a bit funked, yeasty, slightly spiced, and lemon. Aroma was the same, but additional flavors of perfume, flowers, and soap. Bad bottle? I do not think so, I just did not like this one.
