| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2007 The aroma on this is killer for such a low ABV beer. Appearance is an orange yellow body with particalia and a perfect head. Actually, something really interesting that I notice is that the head is slanted. Thinner on one side and thicker on the other. Makes me wonder if the Leffe chalice sits crooked. I don’t think so, but you never know. Anyway, on to the beer. Flavor is spices with a dry tangy and signature sour finish. Detail is very good on this beer. Nothing stands out in a negative way. All of the ingredients seem to work together well. Lubiere (4529), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2007 A hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head, lacing. A spiced aroma of pepper, epsom salts, wild herbs, and catnip. Strong Brett enchants you. In mouth, a refreshing lemony tart beer, with earthy notes, dry and lightly puckering. Rich and interesting. A bieropholie import. NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2007 The aroma was fruity and citrusy when poured into that snazzy new Sam Adams glass. The nose was bready and contained a presence of Brett, spice and a grassy hop character to boot. Some light alcohol tickled the nose in this low ABV puppy and a sweet and fruity malt undercurrent was notable. the beer was clear and effervescent in the glass with a HUGE head that seemed to never fall from grace. The flavor was quite bitter and bready and contained a light peppery spice and a lemony tartness that was restrained and showed characteristics of Brett. The flavor also had some grassy hops, but the prominent characteristic was the spice and the light tartness. The beer was highly carbonated and left the impression of a light bodied Belgian ale with a dry finish and a lasting peppery spice characteristic long and strong into the aftertaste and beyond. Overall a highly pleasurable bottle of beer with many attributes that make it a true winner. Good job Ron! 12 ounce bottle. iwrk4dickjones (22), Michigan, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Wow, this is an interesting beer. The first thing I get is the spicy malt and brett character from the beer. The appearance is nothing special, but that aroma, with the brett and malt, and some sort of medicinal character is interesting. Taste-wise, I think I will have to have this beer again. I liked the sour but subdued characters of this beer and the malty-spicy complexity. A good beer! smhncabot (310), Cabot, Arkansas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2007 in the bottle from beertopia. pours a muddy gold like the missisipp with an enormous off-white head that cannot be contained in a tulip glass. the aroma has that "old" smell to it - much like when you first walk into grandma’s house. the beer is fairly sour at first, then the tartness abates suddenly into a long oaky aftertaste. there is some orange and cloves that emerge when the beer warms, but overall this is not dexter’s best. islay (476), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Strong, sharp, fruity aroma with apple juice, pair, and maraschino cherry scents. Pours a slightly hazy but mostly clear, pale brass. Produces a very impressive, long-lasting tornado of bubbles in the center of the glass. Huge, uneven, thick, off-white head. Extensive, thick lacing. Fantastic appearance. One of the best looking beers I’ve ever seen. Sour, salty, bitter, dry taste. Champagne-like. Apple juice and lemon elements. Yeasty bitterness. Dry finish. Bitter aftertaste. Smooth and lively in the palate. Light to medium body. Easy to drink and refreshing. Bam Biere is an extreme beer in aroma, appearance, and flavor despite its low alcohol content. It is a very interesting brew, moreso than my good but not great score might indicate.
