Commercial Description:
One of Bam's brown eyes is, in fact, black. When mischief reigns supreme, it positively glows. Dedicated to the dark side; smooth, dark, incredibly delicious as only a Jack Russell with bat wings can be.

Bottle at the Febmergency tasting, "Batch 262, 263." Pours ruby-hued brown with beige head. The aroma is caramel, cherry, wood, musty cellar, mildew, and earth. The flavor is earth and must with some lavender and some stray sour hints. Sweetish finish. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours a brown fizzy body with a huge beige head. Head receives leaving large foam chunks and a rootbeer float type look. Nose is dank yeast. Quite farmy with some hidden dark fruit notes. Quite dry. Palate is fizzy and full bodied, quite sticky. FLavors are warm dark fruits with some more of the funky yeast notes.

Bottle at decaturstevo’s Februmergency Tasting for those of us that missed out on Sexual Chocolate ’09. Batch 262,263 thanks to decaturstevo. Coca-cola pour with fair off-white head. Very faint dark berry on the aroma, with lots of farmhouse funk. Sour flavors are fruity, and cheesy, and funky. Massively carbonated but in a good way. Surprising to me how much I am starting to like these saisons.

Draft at Redlight. Nose is funky, fruity and full of spice. Flavor is blackberries, funk and citrus peel bitter. Flavor is good, but like a couple other Jolly Pumpkin drafts I’ve tried, I think the funk really comes out better in the bottle. This is still excellent, but it is even better in the bottle.

0.75 l bottle at Konttori, Tampere. Hazy mahagony color with creamy head. Horsey and leathery aroma with molasses and strawberry. Dry, sour and somewhat bitter flavor with strawberry, grapefruit and licorice. Slightly tannin palate. Nice sour ale with quite horsey aroma.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Dark brown with a medium, frothy and lacy, tanned head. Tart, lightly roasty and yeasty aroma with some spiciness, dry apricot, and hints of licorice root. Earthy, dryish and tart flavor of lightly roasted malt, and a dry, slightly burned finish. Almost no hops present. Medium-bodied, high- but soft-carbonated palate. A very nice, tart and dry session brew.

Batch 327/328. Pours copper/rootbeer color with minimal head and lots of co2. Sour aroma. Taste is of roasted malt, light chocolate, caramel, and some raisin. Somewhat watery and acidic, but smoother than Bam Biere. Minimal hops.
