Commercial Description:
One of Bam's brown eyes is, in fact, black. When mischief reigns supreme, it positively glows. Dedicated to the dark side; smooth, dark, incredibly delicious as only a Jack Russell with bat wings can be.

Bottle 75cl. @ Amerikaner blindsmagning @ Papsoe, Bottle #04.]
Unclear medium brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lancing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, sour berry, friuty and woody. Flavor is moderate sweet, light to moderate acidic and light bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (190608)

Bottled. Batch 262, 263. Dark brown pour, foamy, dense tan head. Sour nose--wet blanket, barnyard. Flavor was yeasty, barnyard, sour, with a hint of pineapple in the finish. The finish was dry and very saison-like. I really enjoy the offerings from Jolly Pumpkin and Bam Noire is no exception.

Bottle: Dark, murky amber pour with a frothy, tan head. Aroma hints at dark malts, spice, hay, dark fruits and some lactic acidity. Typical JP body, highly carbonated and biting...very nice. Mildly sour, dark malts in the flavor with additional notes of lemongrass. Ends on a dry, slightly sweet finish. Awesome.

kinda of thin, some flavors of wood and tart in everything else. The malt tang gives it an uneven flavor. only for the hardcore

The aroma is wild and funky with vinegar, malt, sour fruit, wood and yeast. The appearance is light brown with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma but has a nice toasty aftertaste. The palate is thin. Overall it’s not that good.

Batch #250. Pours a dirty brown with resilient, thick tan head. Aroma is musty, sweet hay, dust, sourness. Taste is earthy, barnish, with sour grapes, pears, unripe plums, tart apple, also a bit of toasted malts. Mouthfeel is very airy, shockingly light and well-carbonated. This is one of the most interesting ales I’ve ever had in my life, I highly recommend trying it. Re-rate- this is fucking awesome.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours dirty dark brackish brown with thin tan head. The aroma is mildly musty dark fruit with hints of dark roastiness that moves into tartness. The taste jumps alive with carbonation attacking the senses with tartness blending into mild wood barrel like bugginess funk. The tartness grows along with hints of dark roastiness. Ends pure tart with a feel of dry wateriness. Interesting.

Pint bottle from Knightly Spirits. This beer reveals a massive 2-inch off-white head from a quick and hastily-executed pour due to my zealousness. A richly dark-brown colored body and hugely sour Brett aroma adds to my excitement. Flavors are enticing and refreshing with pleasant dark fruits-the good ones, earthy musk, brown sugar, mysterious grape, and wood chips. High carbonation and medium/full body. This is quite similar to the enigmatic Dark Dawn Stout, yet strangely different. Delicious--another winner from Jolly Pumpkin.
