Commercial Description:
One of Bam's brown eyes is, in fact, black. When mischief reigns supreme, it positively glows. Dedicated to the dark side; smooth, dark, incredibly delicious as only a Jack Russell with bat wings can be.

On Tap. Pous a deep brown amber color with little to no head. The aroma is of malty nuts and caraml, and yeast back bone. The flavoris nice, full, and sweet. There is less body and palate than I expected, but it was an enjoyable tasting, and somewhat coplex flavor.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color with a thick head. The aroma was dark malts and spice. The flavor was dark fruit, yeast, sour, and a hint of fruit. Overall, another fine beer from JP.

shared 750ml bottle on 10/4/09... pours a dark brown with a dark ruby bottom and a big 1-2 finger off white head which settles to a 1/4"... a light Brett / funk / tart aroma... some light cherries as well... medium body with light edges... more tart notes on top of the mouth... nice carbonation throughout... big lemon/tart finish. Nice dark Saison!

Bomber at redlight redlight. Pours very dark with streaks of dark amber in the light. The aroma is subtle but very nice with hints of dark malts and spices, perhaps dill. This is a very refreshing dark saison. Tart but so much as to overwhelm the other flavors. The dill comes out even stronger on the tongue. Subtle hints of vinegar and unripe berries add complexity.

Batch #358. Pours a very dark reddish amber, somewhat clear and glowing, fantastic rocky foamy off-white head. Aroma is very bright and tart, nice and sour, balanced woodiness, JP house yeast, medium full and seemingly creamy, love love love the tart brett, lemons and spice. Flavor is at first lemony and tart, crisp and bright, finishes with a touch of roast and quite dry, some bitterness, lovely perfectly balanced oak. Very clean aftertaste. I really enjoy this one from JP, fuller while still being delicate and without being vacant like some of their others. I’m never left searching for flavor. Medium/light bodied, closer to light, somewhat corse, fluffy and airy, super dry but just enough sweetness. Ever cleaner than Madrugada Obscura, the roast is in better balance. Insanely drinkable. Love it.

Bottle@Home. Tart, lactic, Brett aroma with raisin and prune. Brown colour, beige head, good lace. Almost no sweetness, bitter, Brett, light sourish, light fruitiness, very short finish leaving nothing but dry bitterness. Medium to light body. Flavourful, out of the ordinary, well brewed. But not really my thing.
