| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2008 Thanks to my Secret Santa, pantanap, for this bottle. Pours a deep brown with red hues. Very frothy tan head that lingers for a long time. Great lacing. Nose of dusty cherries and raspberries with a farmhouse yeast aroma. Flavor is tart sour fruits with some hoppy citrus flavors. Mouthfeel is very light, with a rather thin finish overall. jzzbassman (846), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2008 Bottle, batch 262, 263. Hazy ruby pour with medium beige head, lacing. Also, as I noticed later on, a nice chunk of yeast floating on the bottom. Aroma is tart cherries, raspberries, mild wild yeast notes with a touch of mustiness. Flavor has tart-sour fruitiness - berries, light citrus. Slight medicine undertones, light herbal bitterness throughout. Finish has bright hoppiness, bitterness and lingering vinuous fruitiness. Mellow, light mouthfeel - maybe even a little too light. Sourness coupled with bitterness a very nice combo in this very interesting brew. Harsebrau (164), Kansas City, Missouri, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Strong Pinesol aroma which although lemony fresh, made me think of a bathroom that was just cleaned. So not a good start. Beer looked good though. Dark ruby color with a significant, tanish head that lingered and gave nice lacing. But the flavor was a disappointment. Funky and just off. Finished like water - thin. undsioux7 (555), Cologne, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Pours brown/ruby. Aroma of oak, cherry, funk. Taste is roughly the same with a nice malt backbone. Nice beer. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Very dark brown/root beer in color. The nose is skunky and adds scents of anise and yeast. Very odd and definitely not my favorite, is something wrong? In the mouth it is rather flat with some anise and fish water. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
