Commercial Description:
One of Bam's brown eyes is, in fact, black. When mischief reigns supreme, it positively glows. Dedicated to the dark side; smooth, dark, incredibly delicious as only a Jack Russell with bat wings can be.

I shared my fourth Jolly Pumpkin with BeerBaron617. It’s a bottle we picked up at the brewery the other day. It poured a really dark brown color, pretty hazy with a thick foamy tan colored head. I think that as a result of the head the aroma was really mild. It certainly isn’t anywhere near as oaky as the other Jolly’s I have had. Initially, I felt that it had the taste of chocolate, however I feel more now that it has a grassy taste...very vegetative. I like it, it’s really nice, has a great flavor that would go nicely with a meal - I would get and drink this again :)

This is the fourth offering from this very local brewer, and I must say, although there is a distinct similarity in all of their brews, they are all different, and I think this one is my favorite. It’s a little more roasty than the others, and just as bit delicious. It pours a dark reddish brown with fluffy tan head. Shared this with my great beer friend, MereLIkesBeer. Cheers!!

On tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a hazy dark brown colour with a small but lasting white head. Has an aroma of sweet funk, wooden wine barrels, wine, dark fruit. Sour flavour with a taste of spice, this "funk" I keep hearing about but can never smell or taste for myself, candied sugar and dark fruit. Flavour is keeping with the aroma.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, batch 358) Dark brown and hazy. Quite large and lightly tan coloured head. Sweetnes, malts and sourness in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Malts, sourness, sweetness, lightly chocolate and bitterness in taste. Malty and sour aftertaste.

Tap @ Spuyten Duyvil. Pours a deep brown with a wispy white head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, and yeast, with detectable malt, candi sugar, and a tad dark fruit. Taste is heavy on the malt, dark fruit, and earth notes, with a sweet and slightly tart (dark fruit) aftertaste. Interesting idea - palate was thin overall but I enjoyed the beer.

Bottle. Brown sugar coloring. Grassy earthy, vinegar-like. Musty and a little tart at the initial taste. Reasonably dry. Limited residual. Not my cup of tea but a decent pour and can see many loving it.

750 ml bottle from Buffalohead. Clear mahogany with a loose head that settles to a thin layer fairly quickly.Sour fruit, cherries, and with the typical JP Brett flavors of leather nad earth. Light body with bright effervescence and a crisp, clean palate. A faint caramel sweetness ushers in some sourness and a gentle bitterness. Finishes very dry.

750ml. Pours a deep dark amber brown with ruby highlights and a massive beige head- sticky lacing as well. Aroma is mineral salt spray horsey and slight goat cheesey brett, light on the nuts, and dark malts, good phenols and herbs. Flavor has some slick roast and chocolate, nuts, mineral, slight acrid burn from the dark malts, astringent and slightly bitte-r les horesfunk and brett, yet still dry and phenolic with a mineral and lightly metallic-like astringency. Starts off good, but finishes a bit weak overall.
