Sep 13, 2009 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is dry acidic and slight wooden aroma. Mild cherry fruity note. Smooth cherry and vague fruity touch. Mild citric to acidic with lingering dry wooden note and light malty touch. Ends dry and slight acidic.

Sep 12, 2009 gold label on my bottle says 16 months in oak. not sure which version this is. DEEP burgundy pour with a beige head that didnt last very long. Aroma if loaded with oak, red wine vinegar, and some balsamic vinegar with a light fruitiness. Flavor is robust, and extremely tart. Lots of fruit, like cherries, and plums, but the oak just dominates the finish. Slight vanilla, in the end. Its semi dry, and the oak lingers. I like it. its a sipper even at 7%.
