Jun 6, 2009 Bottle, batch 346/348, bought at Ølbutikken and shared with Skinnyviking. Dark amber hue with a filmy layer. Tart aroma with notes of yeast. Rounded flavour of fruity tartness, caramel malts and spices. Quite lively carbonation. Slow building and a bit heavy to drink. Average to my palate and rating (Copenhagen, 17.05.2009).

Jun 5, 2009 Bottle (batch 346/348). Pours a cola like color with a rootbeer head and thick aromas that I can pick up at a distance. Sweetness, earthiness and tartness/funk are all there... almost like brown sugar got left in a barn overnight. I really liked this one... it is fairly thin, but the barrel and funky yeast go nicely together and make this a perfect drink for summer. Kind of zesty and refreshing, while still being very interesting.

Jun 4, 2009 Bottle. Dark copper pour with beige head. Aroma is fruity, rich and with woody sourness. Flavor is the same, rich, nutty, tart and fruity, with a little bit of funkiness.

Robustly carbonated, deep brown, beautiful microbubble head emerging as it settles. I can’t imagine how this one could have been closer to expectations given the brewery and description on the bottle. That distinctive apple-funky JP character throughout, with a nice oak-vanilla balance. Rather dark and sweet - caramel and brown sugar - for the style, not sure I’d really have called this as a Biere de Garde. Nice enough to drink, though, even if it is something of a mishmash.

May 27, 2009 Bottle thanks to americanbrew. The smell is malts, caramel, spices, yeast, and fruits. The look is muddy look, brownish color, and a decent beige head. The taste is tart, earthy, yeast, fruits, and spices.

May 4, 2009 This poured a murky brown color with an off white head. Aroma was mainly sour with soe spicenotes behind it. Flavor was upfront sour with slight malty roastedness and slight spices to back it up. OK but nothing special.
