The best I’ve ever seen actually. Wow, great nose. Very intense apricot, lavender, orange juice, white pepper, vanilla. I could smell this all day and get different things out of it. Sourness is immediate with orange peel, sour apricot, and clove rounding out the flavors with mild mild hops. It has the bark of a wolf with the bite of a chihuahua. The aroma has lots of spice, yeast, and light barnyard weirdness. Looks great, nearly a gusher. The foam is very long lasting and get thin but leaves a tall layer on top of the beer. Lots of sediment settled in the bottom of the glass. One of the best looking beers I have ever seen. Taste is of summer. Fresh fruit, lots of citrus and lightly sour like a biere de garde. Refreshing; I probably should be drinking this on a hot day. BigBeer45 (693), Troy, Michigan, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 6, 2006 25 oz bottle, Stateline Liquors. Pours a clear bright yellow gold colored body under a craggy and foamy meringue like head that stuck up almost an inch above the rim of my glass. Rather vigorous visible carbonation. Aroma is light and fruity with a good dose of belgian spices, lots of coriander and bitter orange peel. Rather dry with some yeastiness. Flavor is spicey as well with a very light soft maltiness. Finishes sharp and bone dry with a touch of brett maybe? Very delicate flavor. Alot of floral perfumy flavors. Mouthfeel is extremely fizzy in its carbonation. So much so that it foams on contact with the tongue. Otherwise, fairly light bodied and airy. Overall, this was light and easy drinking. The most subtle of all the JP’s I’ve had so far. A good first JP for those who may be a little weirded out by some of their more extreme beers. TURDFERGUSON (1602), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2006 12 oz bottle courtesy of Firemoose. Thanks. Lots of carbonation. Golden with a small crisp white head. Orange, funk, vinegar and yeast dominate the palate. This is a belgian white? Smells kinda funky. But I like funk. Taste is more tart and sour with sweet notes but the acididity definately overwhelms the palate. This is a toss-up rating because I really love sour beers and this definately sour, but its a bit out of character for the beer its supposed to be. Interesting and maybe one to revisit. Tried some of a friend’s big bottle some months ago and dont remember it being that sour. kkearn (1002), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2006 12oz bottle from The Foodery. Cloudy, golden appearance. Earthy, musty aroma. Tart flavors dominate the palate, but the beer also possesses the citric notes typical of the style. Not as interesting as JP’s other offerings, but still very enjoyable, and I’m sure it will make its way into my fridge again soon. murawski (158), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Nice hazy appearance, with a lemony aroma and flavor. Slightly too acidic, and a bit too much of a dry finish. Interesting white ale -- I think I need to try this one again to get a better rating. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Light yellow with a medium white head. Funky aroma, not much wheat. Big oak flavour, slightly tart. For me the oak seemed to overpower any other flavours that may have been present. Not bad but kinda one dimensional.
