Shared with csbosox. Pours with a billowing white head atop hazy yellow/orange beer. With lots of carbonation and good lace. Tangy orange and lemon, with some peppery aromas. There is some barrel character as well. Orange tartness with some wood in the flavor. It lingers on the back half of the tongue for a while. Light, refreshing spritzy body. Very nice. It really hit the spot.

Thanks Santa! Pours a cloudy yellow/golden with a huge soapy head that lasts for minutes. Aroma is sour with hints of sweet oranges. In the mouth it’s quite bitter and dry, a little watery and unsurprisingly quite carbonated. I think that it achieves very well what the brewer was going for even though it’s not really to my taste. I’m glad I got the chance to sample it.

Poured an opaque golden color with a small thin frothy white head. Not much retention. Subtle aroma; citrus floral. Light bodied, lots of carbonation. Dry, sour grapefruit flavor, lightly spiced. Very drinkable. Good example of a Belgian White...not one of my favorite styles.

The aroma has an overall sour like consistency with notes of coriander and orange peel. The pour is an orangish yellow with a white head and a sour like flavor with a slight citrusy bite.

12 oz bottle (sixth consumed of a six-pack), Bordeaux glass. A giant, merangue-like foamy white head stands firmly on a light golden-amber body, cloudy from the addition of yeast. Intoxicating waves of lemon, honey and graham cracker appear at first sniff. Apricots, coriander, cloves and cracked pepper shortly follow. Sour elements (reminds me of apple and banana baby foods) merge into a soft and well integrated oak note. The aroma gives good indication of what the flavor will be like. Starting creamy, softly acidic, fruity and buttery-oaky the front-end is nearly reminiscent of a California Chardonnay. Mid-palate brings out a timid lemon sourness and leather and horseblanket funk. The finish is tart and dry with strong grass, pepper and oak elements. The mouthfeel is viscous enough to avoid ’watery’, yet is soft enough to be palatable on a very hot day. The explosive carbonation surely doesn’t hurt in that regard, either.

So... this is what Brett tastes like? This poured a wonderful lemmon yellow with bubbly carbonated head, but the aroma and flavor were sort of frustrating- extremely sour, funky, yeasty. I can see the orange peel, but no coriander due to the overwhelming sourness. Finish is extremely dry... like champagne, but more sourness. Not as interesting as the other JP beer I’ve tried.

Pours a golden hue with a thick white head. Aromas of sour light yeast, funk and lemon. Flavors of banana, yeast and funk.

Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. Fluffy white medium-sized head with good retention. Orange and lemon notes. Brett upfront with a sour lemon dry finish. Very refreshing.
