Medium bodied with some slight floral notes , Spices are restrained almost to a fault as they seem to fade in the middle. Still a decent well made brew.

The flavor is a nice tart brett flavor with dry notes - not unlike eating dry cheese. Barnaby (11), Brooklyn, New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Hazy orange with a medium-sized head. Good lacings.
The smell is of wheat, oranges, spices, hints of tobacco and brett. Good, rather mellow. Good balance.
The taste is somewhat sweet with dry wheaty flavors and dry orange notes. Spices (mostly coriander) and mild bretty notes. Very tasty juicy fruit flavors, mostly tart citric notes. Hints of yeast. The finish is dry with note of wheat, fruits and minerals.
Moderate body, rather dry texture. Nicely refreshing carbonation.
A good beer. Very easy to drink. I’m not usually a big fan of witbiers, but this one was rather pleasant.

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 9, 2009 (bottle) From the aroma, I knew this was not a traditional witbier. The aroma was waaaaaayyyy too sour to be considered a wit. Sure enough, the flavor followed suit. I admit I do not like sour beers and this was just too much. Not enough yeast or spice. The sourness just overpowers everything. This is my first Jolly Pumpkin and I’m highly disappointed. j12601 (1298), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a large creamy white head. Wheat, funk, yeast, and a tad papery. Crisp brett flavor, dry, lemony. Finishes with a bit of the musky coriander I was hoping for on the nose, and a bit of crisp light acid. Really tasty stuff. fraternie (710), Chicago, Illinois, USA
