Really a fascinating beer. The pour was a deep red with a huge rocky head that was very attractive. The aroma was like a quality bitter but with a really obvious funky character that defined it. Very enticing. The flavor was complex and showed some of the sourness and farmhouse character that I’ve come to expect and enjoy from the better JP beers. I wish I could get this locally, especially at this low alcohol. I would drink it all the time. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

Moderate brett in the aroma and flavor, if this were a saison, which is obviously is.. Bitter hops and lightly sweet malt. Some barnyard character. There is no way this is a bitter, but it is a solid beer. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Funky and woody oak, pithy, rounded hops. Bready and slightly tart and sour smelling. Similar in flavor, except not sour or tart, a little funky. Slightly watery. Finishes like seltzer. Underwhelming flavor esp. in contrast to the aroma. kseecs16 (914), Naperville, Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Pours a hazy deep caramel with a wild yeast funk nose and flavor in the front palate. Mid to finish it goes kind of weird and undescribable. A bit creamy on the palate.
