| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Tap at Ashleys in Ann Arbor. Has the jolly pumpkin signature tartness. I wouldn’t call this one hoppy, because it has kind of fruity, but there was bitterness there. Smooth, easy to drink. Not your typical bitter in my opinion but good nonetheless. Yet another fine one from JP. This Bam is darker than its parent, but with the same musty aroma and big rocky head. It’s so dry, so delectable, with tons of fizz in it. There’s a good deal of pepper in there, but in this incarnation of Bam it’s rounded out by some lovely fruity flavors. Very distinct and enjoyable. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Porus a dark maroon color with a fizzy beige head. Smell is fruity, tart, hoppy and perhaps almost a dry cherry scent. Taste is milder than the nose, is is lightly hoppy, a tad funky, a bit bitter and dry. Almost every Jolly Pumpkin beer leaves me wanting more flavor, and this was no exception. Not bad, but didn’t wow me. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Hazy brown body with some copper at the edges. Topped by a khaki colored head. The aroma has lots of sweet apples and some funky wood. There is also a little bit of balsamic vinegar. The tase is largely dry wood followed by some grapefruit. There are also some tame apples to go with the wood. This gets worse as it warms.
