Murky orange-red body with dense lacing, yeast sediment, and a thick, puffy, persistent beige head. Woody tart, sour aroma with strong herbal hops notes, iced tea, and perfume. The first characteristic of the body is tartness, followed by the development of big herbal hops that leave a long bitter finish. Soft and delicate palate, perfumey, that improves over the course of a glass as the disparate elements coalesce into the whole. A nice, quaffable beer. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | May 27, 2008 Bottle at tasting at Chris Fischer’s (from Liars Club) house. Pours with a reddish-brown body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sour and grassy from the hops with a touch of swetness. The aroma is similar to my dogs shit. Light bodied and crisp. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2008 Bottle (750ml). At 2nd Annual Summer Saison Tasting - mds’ bottle. Cloudy deep amber with a huge lasting fluffy beige head. Dry yeasty aroma, yes like a classic bitter - light caramel malt and very herbal. The taste - oh that’s nice, so easy to drink - dry and spicy/herbal, just the right malt backbone - lemony with dry hops. Average body, a little carbonized, soft and astringent on the palate - very nice overall, funky and sneaky-sour. blankboy (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a cloudy amber with some sediment and a large foamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma: Wow, that’s nice! It’s a hoppy funky beauty -- such a lovely aroma! Flavour’s also great: Yeasty, malty, some funkyness and sourness, fruit and plenty of hops. Medium bodied. Fan-friggin’-tastic! hopscotch (5495), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 23, 2008 Batch 278: Pours a hazy copper mahogany with a large, airy, clumpy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of semi-dry, toasted caramel malt with an earthy grassy hop character and a touch of leathery funk. Body starts lightly sweet with an effervescent carbonation, earthy bittering hops and semi-tart funk before a drier, more bitter finish. Crisp, and quite drinkable. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2008 750ml bottle. Batch 278. Shared by csbosox. Pours brown with a lasting tan head and good lace. The aroma is woody with some pine and muted orange peel. Certainly bretty as hell. Biscuit malt right on the tongue that switches to brett with some tannis and bitter hops. Drrrrrry! Medium body and high carbonation. One of my favorite JP beers.
