Commercial Description:
Bam is an extra special dog. After surviving being struck by a car, he daily somehow manages to avoid being carried away by the largish birds of prey gliding overhead, riding unseen thermals. Bam's tenacity seems only to be surpassed by his oversized personality. Join us in this celebration of his excess. More malt, more hops, same vivacious personality.

Batch 278. 750 bottle shared with tjthresh. Served in a NB worthy glass. Not sure on the color, I am outside and it is dusk. Head was large and collapsed upon itself. Aroma is bretty with horseblanket & leather, along with some sour cherries, cobwebs, and some distant herbal notes. Taste is more of the horsey brett, very light sour cherries, hay, and faint molasses with a finish that is grassy and hay-like with a pleasing, lingering, bitterness.

Same sour taste as Bam, but much more hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Dark amber, almost brown, color with lots of floaties and solid head. I liked!

A delicious and extremely drinkable Belgian. Aroma was slight dark fruit , funk and grass. Pour was a beautiful dark brown with a 2 dfinger off white head with no lacing. Taste was nice and mellow. Nice citrus and lemon backbone with a strong carbonated yeasty backbone and a barnyard floor aftertaste that lingered for 2 days. Great beer,.

2008-05-17. Dark amber body with a modest foamy off white head. (3+) Interesting aroma, fruit, light funk, lemon zest, grass/dandelions (7+) Flavour has similar lemon and tart something. Bit thin actually, lingering light bitterness. (6+) Average to thin palate. Decent but left me ambivalent. At Rudolf’s, shared by IPFreely.

Bottle, shared at the May 2008 tasting. Thanks Tim. Slightly cloudy brown, tan head. Nose is barrel, cherry brett, malt. Flavor is malt, more of that cherry brett, light sourness. Finish is disappointingly watery but that nose is wonderful.

Bottle at Rudy’s tasting May ’08, courtesy of IPFreely. Dark golden brown, small frothy white head. Awesome aroma, hoppy, fruity, some yeast. Waste is terrific - bitter, earthy, fruity. Perfect soft carbonation. Short sharp bitter finish. Amazing, best beer of this tasting. Thanks for sharing Tim.

750 ml into a pint glass. Pours a dark honey amber brown with a nice off-white head that fades kind of fast. Alcohol, caramel, sweet malt, cake dough, and more on the nose. Flavors aren’t so complex: faint hops on front and finish, grains, earthiness, kind of watery and a bit off-balanced (I can;t put my finger on it). Moist and smooth going on the palate, not much carbonation. Overall: unique taste, good aroma, don;t know exactly what I think; worth trying though.

Batch 267, 268. Orange umber color with a tall creamy glazed, taupe colored head. Mild aromas with apples in the old fashioned root cellar. Touches of cream caramel and citric zest. Light woody flavors, along with some more lemon zest. Dry, mildly grassy hops in the middle and finish. A bit watery at times. I could see pairing this with some dry sharp cheeses, but by itself, I’m rather bored.
