| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Bottle from Dilly Deli. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy brown head that mostly lasted with great lacing. Solid spicy tart citrus aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium spicy balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Complex standout beer. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2007 The medicinal aroma of this ale took away from my enjoyment. Hazy brown with a large, good-lacing beige head, it smells of anise, oak, pepper, unripe sour cherries, and chewed mint leaves. There’s a slight sourness to the flavor that combines all the elements of the aroma, adds a quietly sweet malt, and has a touch of alcohol. Obviously well crafted, but this will probably be the only time that I will drink it.
