Commercial Description:
Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

Bottle courtesy of Naka, Batch 244/245. Pours orange with yellow hues, white foamy head with good lacing. Notes of apple, pear, citric sour, lots of funk and a caramel not at the end. Sweet taste up front of malt caramel with apple and pear sweetness, then citrusy sour notes with mild funk. N nice sweetness returns at the end, cutting through the sour. Tasty brew. Dry and chalky.

Pretty much tastes like pure brett with a slight hint of chestnuts. Has nice carbonation and a nice mouth feel. I like some Brett beers and a lot of sours; this was not one of them.

Bottle at chris_o’s "smash kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Good tartness, nutmeg and pumpin like spice, fairly balanced. I liked this due to the tartness but perhaps the spiceing isnt for me.

Brought to Paul’s gathering. Brown pour with some tan head. Flavor was definitely JP yeast, nuts, malts and spices. Alright beer not the best from JP or of the fall season.

Bottle. Pours semi-hazy gold with a huge off-white head. Malty aroma with some funk and a bit of skunkiness. Tart and funky flavor with some bitter lemon and a semi-thin finish. No trace of spice until it warms up and then very faint. In all honesty, I probably wouldn’t have picked it out if the bottle didn’t tell.

Bottle at Paul’s place for Kan’s visit. Pours a hazy brown with a thin white head. Nice little funk note, malt, spice, plums. Medium bodied, light funkiness. Finishes with a light bit of spice, and some faint sweetness. Really nice carbonation.

Bottle. 25.4 oz. Split this with Braden. Pours honey amber, with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of apple, hops, wheat, honey, hay, and hints of caramel. Medium bodied with a sweet, tangy moutfeel and similar finish. Very good Belgian ale from Jolly Pumpkin.
