Commercial Description:
Autumn Fire
Ale brewed with chestnut and spices
To catch a bit of soft radiance in each special bottle, we wait for fall colors to begin their bright and fleeting glow before brewing this wonderful ale under their autumn fire. Gentle amber malts lead smooth caramel notes, gently lapping against a shore of distant forgotten spice. A beer to contemplate and enjoy!

Bottle. Pours semi-hazy gold with a huge off-white head. Malty aroma with some funk and a bit of skunkiness. Tart and funky flavor with some bitter lemon and a semi-thin finish. No trace of spice until it warms up and then very faint. In all honesty, I probably wouldn’t have picked it out if the bottle didn’t tell.

Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle. Bottling No. 3, 2007. Pours golden orange with a white head. Very clear. Aroma is some tart citrus as well as some light funk. Also some spices. Flavor is semi-tart with lots of citrus. Not very funky. Finishes very dry. High carbonation and drinkability.

Pretty much tastes like pure brett with a slight hint of chestnuts. Has nice carbonation and a nice mouth feel. I like some Brett beers and a lot of sours; this was not one of them.

Bottle at chris_o’s "smash kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Good tartness, nutmeg and pumpin like spice, fairly balanced. I liked this due to the tartness but perhaps the spiceing isnt for me.

Brought to Paul’s gathering. Brown pour with some tan head. Flavor was definitely JP yeast, nuts, malts and spices. Alright beer not the best from JP or of the fall season.
