Blend 12 from 2007. Pours cloudy brown with a white head. Aroma has a typical flanders red musk. Acidic cherry, and some wood notes. Flavor is good, sour, and woody. This ia a nice flanders, easy drinking and not too sour. A good balance of earthy, spice and alcohol to add a good layer of complexity. Finish is dry and mouthfeel is medium to light with some good carbonation. I’m surprised at the drinkability of this brew. Good Job JP.

dark brown-red pour. offwhite head. aroma starts off sweet and tart in the flanders tradtion but is a little bit more horsey than usual. Flavor is a light flanders tartness and sweetness. Some horse funk at the finish but otherwise the funk stays light. pretty yummy

Pour is pure garnet... bottle gushed like a bawse...just sayin’. Huge billowy well shaped beige head. Aroma is is earthen sweet funk with notes of plum, raisin, grape, and horsetaint. Acetic acid, mild barn, and wholly pronounced pasture sweat combine to make quite the flavor arrangement. Flavor is also thoroughly funky with sweetness indicative of the Flanders tradition. Dank funk-sweetness prevails with oaken tannins providing an excellent balance in terms of the acidic flavors. Palate is billowy, pillowy, and massively effervescent for the style- did someone get excited when they were pinching? Still quite nice- big ups... I enjoyed this a lot actually.

Pours an absolutely gorgeous red plum color with a massive frothy head and immensely thick lacing. Aroma holds some really nice funk, but it’s sweet and fruity; great Flander’s idea. The combination of sweet fruit and funky horseblanket is really nice. Flavor is good as well, with good funk, but the sweetness seems a bit artificial for my liking. Wish I could get that artificial fruitiness out of my mouth, but it’s impairing my analysis of the remainder of the flavors. Still quite a good brew on the whole.

(sample at Crown liquors downtown thanks to sprinkle) pours an odd orange-red with no head. Nose of vinegar and sour fruits. Taste of tart/sout plums and pears with a dry unsweet finish.

Pours a murky reddish brown with a solid greyish head. Aroma is sweet n sour berries, yeasty and lightly spicy. Flavour is light caramell and sour berries, sweet apples, pears and refreshingly yeasty. Ends on a light bitter and sweet sour note with lingering fruit. Very drinkable and nice.

750ml bottle. Pours ruddy brown with red highlights and a medium sized, creamy, off white head and specks of lace. Smells of light, sweet malts with some nice sour characteristics, vinegar and a little wood. Tastes sour and sweet and woody. Sour from the bugs and sour from the wood. Sweet and light fruity too. Medium body, good carbonation.

Bottle - This was a ridiculous gusher of a bottle -- carbonation came out of this sucker like a worm for a good five minutes. It’s rosy, with some yeasty floaties and a tan creamy head. Smell is sour citrus and brett. Taste is citrus -- lemon, orange, and some tart cherries -- finishing with oak and lemon. It’s not exactly easy-drinking, but pretty smooth, bubbly and light.
