Pours a golden-amber color with a thick khacki head. The aroma is coriander, bretty, spices, funk. Spices and coriander flavors mix with light hops. Very dry and a bit sour and tart in the finish. A really good beer. Slight bump. Original rating: This started over flowing as soon as I opened it up, out of control, took some effort to settle it down. Amber colored, a lot of carbonation, huge foamy head that eventually settled to a nice level. Fruity and yeasty, light with some spice, light bitterness and a tangy sour presence. Good one, I enjoyed this beer. These JP brews are a bit expensive though. HonkeyBra (1350), Lemont, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Pours an amberish color with a big, rocky head. Sour, spicey aroma with some licorice, some pepper, some coriander. The flavor is very tart with a lot of spice, lots of orange peel and pepper, a tad funkiness. Almost wish they’d tone down the spiciness, but, man, still an amazing brew. Beerman6686 (1287), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma was mof sour apples, dampness, hops and some spices. Flavor is overwhelmed by the sour fruitiness and spices, hops are hiding in there just even to be known. Really interestiong brew and my first from jolly pumpkin, cant wait to try more. 502Flavors (621), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

I had been looking forward to this one for a long time; I had it with some empty collectible bottles and a De Dolle Extra Export Stout and De Dolle Special Reserva in a box to take home from school. After too much drinking, I dropped the box, breaking all of the glass except this JP bottle, but the cap loosened and beer started fizzing all over the joint. Despite knowing that this beer would make me puke, I couldnt not try it, so I took down a pint of it in a nearly blackout state. Really good stuff, I need to get more and rate it with the proper mindset. Unfortunately the 2 De Dolles were casualties... RIP! Rciesla (3719), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Apleasant pungeant aroma of herbs, field grass, orange, Jaegermeister, and licorice. In mouth, a rich pungeant malt, with light acidity, orange peels, and warming alcohol. Rich and interesting.
