The ale itself pours a thick white soapy head and a pure orange golden hue. Some noticeable flakes of dust seen floating in equilibrium. The nose is a delightful scent of orange peel, cinnamon, clove and other such spices. Upon first drink this is quite a tart and taste bud shocking brew. In my opinion, this flavor is too unripe and heavily packed with funky yeast that is unknown to my taste. I do think it has a nice touch of spice but overall nothing special to be remembered. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 2, 2007 RBSG 07. A gold amber pour that has a light white head. A solid spicy nose that is quite surprising. A sour offering that may be past its prime. Just a bit fizzy. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Hazy darker orange, huge white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, and a belgian spiciness. Flavor is soapy, with a lot of deep earthy belgian funk to it. Citrus peels of all sorts, orange, grapefruit, lemon and coriander. Dry mouthfeel with a lot of citrus peel bitterness, really too much and I’m having trouble getting past the soapiness. An almost floral bitterness as well with nutty notes in the background. Aftertasye is the white part of an orange peel. Different beer in a belgian funky way but I’m dissapointed by this one a lot. gottalottaibu (243), charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 30, 2007 poured golden hazy orange. nice frothy big head. some citrus hop aroma mixed with sour lemon. nice hop characteristic with some pine and grass finishing with a slightly dry tart and sour end. enjoyable, refreshing and solid. shaggart (2), Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 30, 2007 shaggart > 75cl bottle from the foodery. Dark hazy amber with thick, but dispersed cream head. Nice lace. Sweetish nose of flowers and lemon tea with a spicy undertone. Taste to match. Classic Belgian with a buttery twist. Finish of hops, acidic lemon and spice. Noticeably American. Not bad, but there is better stuff on offer from this brewery. Floback (337), Naples, Florida, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Poured tangerine with 1 inch white head. Great lacing. Some funky yeast, and hops in the nose. Incredibly complex and confusing flavors here: mint candy cane, slight sour Brett, coriander. Very herbal and grassy toward the finish. Well-balanced and refreshing. Yet another enigmatic and intriguing beer by JP. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
