To me, it was extremely funky and different. Perhaps it was the combination of all the yeast and spices and oak, but it had a soapy-cheesy flavor to that kinda bothered me. It was sweet, but very spiced up. Very different. Perhaps I was just not appreciating it but I had a hard time getting through the bottle, which I had to finish because my friends wouldn’t drink it. mcbackus (751), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange/amber with a very large long lasting rocky off-white head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is slightly acidic and spicy with hints of black pepper, rotten citrus peel, vinegar, and spicy & floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel that finishes dry, slightly tart, and spicy. Another wonderfull brew from JP. UofFkid (108), Orlando, Florida, USA

Pepper and spice dominate the taste with slight malty finish. Lots of carbonation. Wasn’t that impressed. nick76 (2669), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2007 The aroma is floral, yeasty, malty, spicy, and hoppy with some citrus. The appearance is deep amber gold with a nice foamy head. The flavor is just like the aroma with the peppery grains of paradise making their presence known. The palate is typical for the style. Overall it’s interesting. Palidor19 (1780), Brandon, Florida, USA
